Malt Extract Agar


Directions: suspend 50g in 1000ml of purified water. Mix thoroughly, heat gently with frequent agitation and boil one min. Sterilize 60 min. at 121°C (15 psi). Mix and dispense in 2 sleeves of 20 petri dishes each. This mix is considered to be a rich medium for mycelium growth.

Formula in g/L: 0.9 peptone, 1.81 yeast extract, 23,63 Malt Extract, 23,63 agar.
