This conference explores the fascinating world of morels from different perspectives. After an introduction, we will dive into their biology, ecology, and key identification features. We will then review the latest advances in cultivating these highly sought-after mushrooms. The heart of the presentation will be the captivating story of Romain and Josée, who will share their experience of a successful morel-hunting expedition in Western Canada. Finally, a Q&A session will allow for further discussion and audience interaction.

Speakers

Judith Noël Gagnon (Montreal) – Director of Mycoboutique and creator of an outdoor morel cultivation kit.
Romain Chesnaux and Josée Kaufmann (live from Morocco) – Experienced morel hunters who have led multiple foraging expeditions in Western Canada.
